The six steps brochure is a project designed to challenge composition skills.
Solution
Anna created her brochure, Six Steps to Having A Wonderful Day to capture the joy of a simple morning routine. Radial gradients go from cool to warm as the steps progress, imitating the sun rising in the morning. Hand-drawn figures capture each step and small san serif type contrasts large numbers.

Design Tools
Anna combined an array of bright colors and illustrations to create a warm dream-like feeling to the brochure. Large numbers in an edited type contrast the small type of each of the six steps to draw the eye across each page.
Deliverables
Deliverables include a printed 4.5”x5.25” accordion-style brochure. The brochure can be read while folded and flipping through the pages or flattened out and ready from left to right as the mockup shows.
Process
Anna immediately began this project by sketching her illustrative figures. She knew she wanted her result to have an organic feel so creating her sketches was the best approach. Because this project is so color-heavy, Anna introduced color more quickly than in most other projects. She played with radial gradients and how they could interact with her figures. Some of her drafts had a hand-written type, but ultimately she opted for an established typeface to provide some contrast against her hand-drawn figures.
