Hover Cover
Overview
It’s Personal is a personal hygiene company selling disposable toilet seat covers for public restroom users. The CEO is looking for branding solutions that speak to the company’s eco-friendly, products and draw inspiration from minimalist cosmetic brands like Drunk Elephant and Milk.
Solution
The Hover Cover is packaged in a small box containing 25 Hover Covers. Within the exterior box are 5 smaller packages that hold 5 Hover Covers each. This design allows for easy portability and discreet use. Throw one of the 5 packs in a purse or backpack and you are covered for a day of public bathroom use.
Let me talk you through my design process :)
Brand Tools
I created the Hover Cover logo using a modern san-serif type to highlight the cleanliness of the product. The ring above the word cover symbolizes the round toilet seat cover. I paired this san-serif type with a friendly handwritten type for the company’s brand name, adding to its vibrant and personable identity. Colors are playful yet muted to bring attention to the eco-friendly aspect of the brand. Hand-drawn icons add to the personal feel while calling attention to some of the products’ unique qualities such as affordability and durability.
Deliverables
Deliverables include the Hover Cover box and 3 different colored interior packages, a paper instructional insert, and the It’s Personal website landing page adjusted to smart-phone, vertical and horizontal tablet, and desktop views.

Process
I explored many different options before reaching my final solution for Hover Cover. My first iterations included bright colors and a large centered logo. I later revisited this project and updated my designs to achieve a stronger, more modern design. I began her process with research and communication with the CEO asking “Who is the target audience?” “What do we want to make the customers feel when looking at this product?” From here I began sketches and later filled in my designs with different color palettes.
